I once received advice from someone to do what you love to do with your career and work. I followed that advice for many years. Since I followed that advice, I have discovered fulfilling employment and community volunteer work.

As American inventor Thomas Edison once said, "I never did a day's work in my life. It was all fun". When you are doing a job that you love, the work aspect is a minor aspect because the details and is replaced by the fun factor. Pleasant and happy adjectives replace the negative ones because the person is happy and satisfied with work.

John Ruskin viewed work as, "The highest reward for a man's toil is not what he gets for it but what he becomes from it". Over the course of a lifetime, a person is judged by his or her accomplishments more than the job titles at times. However, there are the occasional people who do judge people by the job titles that someone else holds.

As author Marianne Williams views it, "What makes you worthwhile is who you are, not what you do". The overall picture is important to everyone in the world. A happy person leaves a more positive impression on others compared to a sad or disgruntled person. By working in a field that you love, you will leave a positive impact upon others every day.

A person is judged for more than their job titles but by the accomplishments done in their lifetime. In addition, they are remembered for the attitudes they hold in different aspects of life in their community. It is because first impressions last a long time.
